Port Blair, Jan 25: Some highly dedicated Police/IRBn/Home Guard, Officers/personnel of Andaman & Nicobar Police & Home Guard Organization, Port Blair have been awarded with President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic -Day-2018. Their brief achievements are as under:-
Mr. B. Saigal, DANIPS, Dy. SP, CID, A&N Police gets President’s Police Medal For Distinguished Service
Mr. B. Saigal, S/o J. Bhaskaran joined the A&N Police as Sub-Inspector on 06/04/1983. He was promoted as Inspector on 27/03/1998. He was appointed as Dy. Superintendent of Police on Ad-hoc basis in 2011 and inducted in DANIPS in October, 2016 and presently posted as Dy. Superintendent of Police CID with an additional charge of Dy.SP Anti-Corruption.
Earlier he awarded with Lt. Governor’s Commendation Certificate in the year of 2003 and awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day – 2010 on considering his excellent performance, dedication and devotion towards duties.
Mr. R. Vinod Kumar, Sub Inspector, IRBn gets Police Medal For Meritorious Service
Mr. R. Vinod Kumar, S/o R Valayadhan Pillai joined in the A&N Police as a Constable in the year of 1987. In recognition of high order of discipline, dedication and devotion towards duties, he has been awarded several Commendation Certificates and cash reward on various occasions. In appreciation of his good work and dedication to duty throughout his service, he has been awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal For Meritorious Service:
Mr. Gurudas Mondal, HG®/399 joined A&N Home Guard Organization as a Home Guard Volunteer on 01/11/1985. He has completed 31 years of qualifying service. He performed duty in various units of A&N Police with utmost sincerity. In recognition of his sincerity, hard work and devotion towards his duties, he has been awarded with Home Guards medal for Meritorious Service.
Smt. Gafooran Bibi, HG®/323 joined A&N Home Guard Organization as a Home Guard Volunteer on 25/09/1986. She has completed 30 years of qualifying service. She performed duty in various units of A&N Police with utmost sincerity. In recognition of her sincerity, hard work and devotion towards her duties, she has been awarded with Home Guards medal for Meritorious Service.
