Port Blair, Jan 24: Tunighata Peoples Movement of Human Rights Welfare Association (Andaman Branch),celebrates National Girl Child day at Mahatama Gandhi International School on 24th jan 2018. The program chaired by Principal, Mrs. Rahida Kabeer, S.I Mr.P.Jeevan, Mr. Suraj Pappachan (P.R.O.of TPMHRWA) and along with other office bearers. In the said function, the association along with school and police team presented a power point presentation on POSCO Act, Importance of National Girl Child Day and also highlighted about various govt. schemes for the welfare of girl child. Meanwhile ,Mrs. Sagorika and Mrs. Suman ended the programme with vote of thanks . The State program organiser Mr. Vasudeban informed about the similar programme organised by women wings at Kalighat ,Diglipur on the same day as awareness on “Beti Bachao Beti Padao”.
