Port Blair, Jan 21: During the ongoing 29th Road Safety Week 2018 from 15th to 21st, 2018 a “Painting Competition and Nukkad Natak” was organised by A&N Traffic Police on 19/01/2018. Painting Competition on the theme of “Road Safety” was held at PS Aberdeen Conference Hall under three categories i.e (1) Class VI to VIII, (2) Class IX & X (3) XI & XII in which around 60 students of various schools of Port Blair city participated. The result of the competition will be announced on 21-01-18 at Traffic Children Park, Marina Park. Moreover, a NukkadNatak was also organised on the same day by Traffic Branch and with Police Entertainment team at BathuBasthi from 1600 hrs to 1700 hrs on the theme of “Road Safety”, wherein around 200 spectators enjoyed the programme and benefitted from it.
In addition, lectures were also delivered at various schools by SI MasumaBegam, PS Pahargoan at Sr. Sec. School, BhatuBast i& Ummat Public School, Austinabad and SI Mohd. Raza, PS Pahargoan at Kamraj English medium school, Brookshabad. Almost 350 students benefitted from these lectures.
