Port Blair, Jan 19: After receiving credible information on 15/01/2018 that one person namely Parimal Bala R/o Madhupur, Diglipur has arrived from Kolkata by flight and was in possession of huge quantity of illicit ganja, a raiding team led by Inspr. Arun Kumar Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen, ASI Vijay Shanker, HC V. Hentho, PCs D. Shiv Kumar and PC Suresh was constituted under the direct supervision of SDPO (SA) Mr. Nishant Gupta.
The said accused was intercepted just before he was about to board a bus for Diglipur from private bus stand, Mohanpura. He was searched and 4.7 Kg of illicit ganja was recovered from his possession. He was arrested on the spot under the relevant sections of Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985.
The entire operation took place under the direction of Insp. A. K. Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen and supervision of SDPO (SA) Mr. Nishant Gupta.
