Port Blair, Jan 19:All India Radio, Port Blair will broadcast the President Mr. Ramnath Kovind’s address to the nation on the eve of Republic Day at 7 pm and Lieutenant Governor Admiral D.K. Joshi’s address to the Islanders on the eve of Republic Day at 8 pm on 25th January 2018.
As special ‘Sarva Bhasha Kavi Sammelan’ originated from AIR Delhi will also be replayed from 2200 to 2400 hrs on 25th January 2018.
On 26th January 2018 from 0830 am onwards there will be direct relay o f the flag unfurling ceremony and address to the Islanders by Lieutenant Governor Admiral D.K.Joshi from Netaji Stadium. The commentators will be Mr. Zakir Hussain and Ms. Jaisheela Jasinta Lakra. From 9.20 am onwards there will be live broadcast of the Republic Day Parade and the Cultural Pageant from Rajpath, New Delhi.
