Port Blair, Jan 18: Miss V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member, Wimberlygunj Constituency along with Shri Deva Kumar, Zilla Parishad Member, Mannarghat Constituency met the Harbour Master PM B today on 18.01.2018 and requested him for immediate repair of the footsteps at Chatham and Bambooflat Jetties.
They further stated that many of the footsteps being used by the commuters to embark and disembark from Ferry are broken posing serious danger to lives of passengers travelling from both of the jetties.
The Harbour Master gave a patient hearing and assured them to get the steps repaired immediately.
