Port Blair, Jan 17: A meeting was convened at Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair on 17/01/2018 at 4.30p.m. to condole the sudden demise of Mr. Beant Singh, 83 years, Ex-Vice President, Pradesh Congress Committee, R/o RGT road, Port Blair and Mr. Raja Ram, R/o Tushnabad, Ex-President, Tushnabad Block Congress Committee and Ex-Up-Adhyaksh Zilla Parishad, South Andaman.
The PCC President Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma and all senior leaders of Congress party have deeply mourned the sudden demise of Mr. Beant Singh and Mr. Raja Ram and prayed to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed souls and to give strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss. Two minutes silence was observed in memory of the departed souls.
Mr. Kuldeep said that Mr. Beant Singh served the people in various capacities with immense dedication and his noteworthy contributions in the field of education and sports in these islands and his services as Vice President of ANTCC will ever remembered. Mr. Raja Ram was a senior Congress leader who served the people with devotion and his services for the well-being of common people shall be never forgotten, Mr. Kuldeep added.
