Port Blair, Dec 21: The 3rd Conference of South Andaman Rural Zonal Committee was held on 20th December at State C.P.I (M) Party Office, Shaheed Bhavan, Anarkali Port Blair. Delegates from various parts of South Andaman & Nicobar Districts were present.
The Conference began with the party Flag hoisting by Com. (Dr.) Gouranga Majhi, Secretary, South Zone. All the delegates paid homage at the Martyrs column and pledged to carry forward the struggle of Martyrs.
Condolence Resolution was moved by Com. Pronab Banerjee. The conference paid rich tributes to the memory of Late. Com. Sukomal Sen, Com. S.C. Biswas, Com. P. Mohammad and Com. Biren Roy.
The Conference was inaugurated by Com. K.G. Das, Senior Leader. He welcomed the delegates and also explained the present political situation of the country and world. He said that in present time exploitation is increasing vigorously. Common people cannot understand the policies of ruling party. The BJP Government is bringing a new slogan everyday and public gets puzzled enable to perception Modi’s tricks. So the prime duty is to watch the situation and struggle against exploitation of capitalist world, and to stand beside common people.
Dr. Gouranga majhi, Secretary placed draft report to the conference elaborating the organisational situation over the islands and call for struggle against the crisis hidden eo-liberal policies. He narrated the Central Govt. failed to provide employment to the youths of the islands. Bringing back black money from foreign banks failed. The forces of Hidutva on one hand and the forces of privatization and commercialisation are growing on other hand. No control over price rice, welcoming FDI cent percent in the field of Indian Railways and outer sectors. The Conference condemn the anti people policies of BJP Government. Also highlighted the back draw of Andaman & Nicobar Administration which is further creating trouble to the islanders. He asked the delegates to raise voice against negligency of public beneficial works.

All together 11 delegates participated in the discussion on the Secretary’s Report and enriched concrete suggestions and criticism based on their area experiences.
