Port Blair, Dec 21: Mr. R.Karunanithi, Vice Chairman, ORO has invited the attention of A&N Police to the problems faced by the general public for getting panic by the increasing crimes in the city.
In a letter addressed to IG, A&N Police Mr. R.Karunanithi Vice-Chairman, Our Rights Organization has expressed his sincere thanks for reduction of crimes during the short span of time in A&N islands.
Expressing his deep concern Mr. R.Karunanithi informed that frequently rash driving with intoxication is noticed many a times in the city which creates panic among the general public following which many accidents have been reported in past few months. He also said that ORO really appreciates the police personnel, who used to challan such violators.
Further Mr. Karunanithi said since last few months theft cases have been reported majorly from the business communities and the A&N Police have succeeded often cracking the case. But the shop owners are now in distress due to the losses occurred. In view of these he requested that adequate measures should be implemented by A&N Police to avoid such cases so that the business community can feel safe and the illegal migrants from Bangladesh should be kept eye on to safeguard the city from such migrants.
