Baratang, Dec 21: In a major fire a house at Jarawa Creek area of Baratang, near Helipad, has been gutted completely this evening at around 5.30 PM.
As per reports, the house was situated at such a place that it was out of the reach of Fire Tenders but even though the Fire Personnel anyhow managed to reach the house but it was too late by then.
However, all valuables in the house including furniture and other belongings including livestock reduced to ashes in the Fire. The owner of the house is Mr. T Harikrishna, 60 years. Luckily, during the time of the incident there was no one in the house. The amount of loss is yet to be known.
