Port Blair, Dec 15: In pursuance of discussion held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, A&N Administration on 11.12.2017, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has projected demands for grant of additional fund to the PRIs i.e. @Rs.1 Cr for each ward (Rs.6 Cr. for all the 6 newly extended wards), @Rs.50 lakhs for each Panchayat Samity constituency and @Rs.50 lakhs for each Zilla Parishad Constituency in road sectors for repairs and maintenance of rural roads. It is expected that the said additional fund will be considered by the administration favorably.
