Port Blair, Dec 14: The A & N Police Water Sports Team, comprising of 15 police personnel, participated and excellently performed in the 17thAll India Police Water Sports Championship – 2017,which was held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, from 5th to 9th Dec. 2017 and won various Medals especially in the Kayaking event of this National Championship.
The Doubles Team, comprising of S.K Pandey (PC/353), and Amlan Das (PC/3011), performed outstandingly in the 1000 mtrs Kayaking (doubles) and in 500 mtrs Kayaking (doubles), and won Silver Medals in both the events. In 200 mtrs Kayaking (singles), PC/353, S.K Pandey by his exceptional performance bagged a ‘Bronze Medal’. The A & N Police Water Sports Team has brought laurels and glory to the A&N Police as well as to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
