Port Blair, Dec 13: A Staff of Cargo Dinghy today fell into sea near the Havelock Jetty this morning when the Dinghy had just started sailing for Port Blair.
As per reports, the deceased Anand Tirkey, 42 years a resident of Wimberlygunj was under heavy influence of liquor following which he lost his balance inside the Dinghy and fell into the sea.
However, the Police Staffs, Villagers and the lifeguard those were present near the Jetty immediately dived into the sea to rescue the staff of the dinghy and within 5-10 minutes of time they also brought Anand Tirkey out of the water.
Immediately then he was rushed to the PHC Havelock in the Vehicle of Station House Officer, Havelock Police Station but unfortunately the deceased was declared brought dead by the Doctor of the PHC Havelock.
