Port Blair, Dec 13: Participation in 20th National Vanvasi Archery Competition, Bhopal by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, ANI Team Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has organized a “State Level Archery Competition” on 10th December, 2017 at Saraswati Shisu Vidya Mandir School, Rangat, Middle Andaman for selection of suitable sportsman for 201 National Vanvasi Archery Competition to be held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 28th to 31st December, 2017 organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram. The State Level Archery Competition was inaugurated by hoisting event flag by the chief guest Mr. Nehru Ram, GTT, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Bakultala, Middle Andaman. In his address to the participant players, he encouraged the initiative taken by the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram for shining of the hidden talent of Tribal Society. The selection team has selected 12 players in the state level, wherein o8 boys and o4 girls were participating in the National Vanvasi Archery Competition. Shri Sobran Majhi, State Sports Incharge and Shri Vijay Kumar, Coach will be proceeding alongwith the players to Bhopal on 17h December, 2017 from Portblair. Shri Dharma Rao, General Secretary, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to the selected players for their better performance in the national level.
