
Port Blair, Nov 28: The Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Admiral D. K. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) is on a two-day visit to the Middle & North Andaman District. He is accompanied by the Senior Officers of the A&N Administration and the General Manager, NHIDCL.
At Baratang, the Lt. Governor held a meeting with the PRI Members and other HoDs at Baratang Forest Guest House. During the meeting, the PRIs put forth issues related to the area. The Lt. Governor gave them a patient hearing and asked them to submit the issues concerning their areas to the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman.
The Lt. Governor also inspected the Baratang Jetty and visited Govt Sr. Sec. School, Oral Katcha. Thereafter, the Lt. Governor arrived at Uttara Jetty and inspected the ongoing construction work of the Bridge. The Lt. Governor also visited PHC Kadamtala. Later in the afternoon, the Lt. Governor held a meeting with the PRI Members in the Community Hall, Rangat.
On 29th November, the Lt. Governor is scheduled to hold a meeting with the PRI Members and HoDs at 8.15 am, followed by a meeting with Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad and others at 9 am at APWD Guest House, Mayabunder. Thereafter, the Lt. Governor will inaugurate the newly constructed DC Office at Lucknow, Mayabunder at 9.40 am. He will also visit Lalaji Bay and inaugurate Cottage Huts (Forest) there at 11.30 am. The Lt. Governor will also visit Long Island and hold a meeting with the PRI Members at Long Island Forest Guest House at 1.05 pm. In the afternoon, the Lt. Governor will visit Merk Bay Beach, North Passage Island.
After completion of the visit, the Lt. Governor will depart for Port Blair in the morning of Nov. 30, 2017.
