Port Blair, Nov 23: A Hoax Bomb call at Anarkali Basthi triggered Panic among the residents of the area after an unknown substance burst inside dense bushes of Anarkali area, this morning.
As per reports, as soon as the people around the area saw the fire coming out from the bushes from an unknown substance they thought it a bomb and immediately informed the Police.
On information a team of Police immediately reached the area with Sniffer Dogs as well as a Bomb squad and after investigating they found that the unknown substance belonged to a ship, which is used to flare up a SOS message during any distress situation.
It is believed that for some reasons the equipment caught fire today, which triggered panic among the public.
