Port Blair, Nov 22: The Member of Parliament, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray after returning back from Great Nicobar Island, today visited the house of Ram Shree situated at Birchgunj and gathered the villagers of Birchgunj and highighted about the achievements of the Modi Government.
The MP also showed a projector show to the villagers and explained the villagers about the benefits of GST, funds the islands got for the OFC Cable Project, ATR Road, Bridges, Enhancement of Daily wages of the DRMs in various departments in the islands and also for the private workers etc.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr Bishnu said that he received some complaints of the villagers about illegal plying of Quarries and Crushers etc in the area following which he immediately after coming from Great Nicobar came to the village.
“As I got the opportunity to come to the village, I have highlighted about the achievements of the Modi Government and definitely I will further inquire and take up the matter about the illegal Quarry and Crusher operations in the area,” MP said.
