Mohanpur, Nov 21: A student of Standard III of GMS Mohanpur, Diglipur lost her life when she was hit by a speeding car, which was heading towards Mohanpur.
As per details the girl, Ms. Sangita Das D/o Nitai Das had just come out of school at around 3.00 PM, when she was hit by the car bearing registration number AN 01 L 7657. Sources also said that the driver tried to escape from the accident spot but later when he noticed other villages shouting, he returned back and carried the injured student to the RP Hospital, Mayabunder where she was declared brought dead.
It is learnt that a police team of PS Mayabunder reached the spot and carried the investigation as the accident spot is close to the Mayabunder. Later on information PS Kalighat Police reached carried out further investigating. The driver Shyamal R/o Tugapur was arrested by Kalighat Police.
