Port Blair, Nov 15: Uttarakhand Police is organizing Dehradun Marathon in various categories on 10th December 2017. The theme of the Marathon is “Run for Road Safety – Run for women Safety”. More than 100 schools and colleges across Dehradun and over 20,000 participants are expected to throng the event.
The categories of participation are: 21 Km (Half Marathon) & 7 Kms, distance wise and Open, and veteran (45+) age-wise. Additionally, 7 Kms run has below 18 yrs category as well to encourage school kids. The above marathon would have male and female categories in all groups, with prizes more than 10 lakhs including one lakh cash prize for winner in the open category of Half-Marathon.
