Port Blair, Nov 06: A Police constable posted at Mayabunder Police Station has been arrested on 2nd November for raping a lady Police Constable on charges of rape.
As per reports, the Police constable was already married and he was planning to divorce his wife as he was having an affair with the lady police constable.
As per reports, recently the Police Constable had some argument with the lady Police Constable, with whom he was having relationship, following which lady police constable registered a case of rape against him in the Aberdeen Police Unit.
However, according to sources in the Police Department, argument was not the only reason the victim registered a case.
As per the sources, victim was assaulted and the accused told many lies about his marriage to the victim and kept her in dark. Sources alleged that the accused also took around Rs 2 Lakhs from her, made obscene videos and promised the family members of the victim that he will change his religion to marry the victim and even to take the victim into confidence the accused gave a notice of divorce to his wife, and lastly he assaulted her deleted all the chats, conversations photos from the mobile of the victim to safeguard himself and now was having an affair with another girl which was the reason the Victim Police Constable made her mind to report a case against the accused.
Sources in the Police Department those are closed to the victim as well as the accused said that the wife of the accused who is also a Lady Police Constable also wanted to divorce the accused because of his behaviour. But as the wife of the Accused bought a land in loan she was facing certain hurdles to get divorced from the accused.
After the matter was highlighted in the media, many negative comments against the victim was also seen in the Social Media following which many from the Police Background approached Andaman Sheekha and disclosed many facts about the accused.
