Port Blair, Nov 02: A complaint was received on 30.10.2017 in the A & N Union Territory Commission for Protection of Child rights that a minor girl of VK Pur, Little Andaman was sexually harassed by three persons. Smt. Kiran Tigga, Chairperson, of A & N UTCPCR taking a very serious note on this asked the Station House Officer, Hut Bay Shri, Saravanan to take immediate action. The Chairperson, A & N UTCPCR appreciated the Police Department for taking quick action within a very short period. The Chairperson assured the minor girl for providing all necessary assistance for her better Education and well being.
Meanwhile, the general public have been requested to share information with A & N UTCPCR so that to reduce such kind of cases from these Islands. The informant identity shall be kept secret if required.
