Diglipur, Oct 23: The Diglipur Police Unit on 21st October seizedaround 855 packets of Zarda from various places of Diglipur On a tipoff the police inspected a TATA van from Port Blair bearing Regn No AN01 D 7916 and recovered 105 packets of Zarda from R PremKumar r/o Dollygunj. 150 Zarda packets were recovered from the possession of Srikanta Mistry r/o Subhashgram and 600 Zarda packets were recovered from Selvam Store of Subhashgram. All the Zarda packets were 40grm each. The matter was immediatelyinformed to the Food Safety Officer for further necessary action.
The raids were conducted by the team consisted by SHO VP Mishra, SI,VK Mourya, SI DebratRaha, SB (CID) HC Abdul Razzak, PC Manoj, PCSunita, PC Ganesh, PC Vijay Kumar Sarkar, PC Prithi and HG GC Mridha.
