Port Blair, Oct 11: In response to the demand of Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A & N Islands, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 86.00 Crs. under Central Road Fund (CRF) for undertaking the work for rehabilitation & up gradation of 7 No’s Roads and 15 No’s Bridges in South Andaman District, Nicobar District and in N & M Andaman District. Following to that, the Ministry of RT&H on 27.09.2017 has accordingly released an amount of Rs:10.33 Crs in favour of the Ex. Engineer, RCD,APWD, Wimberley Gunj through a cheque to undertake the afore said works.
This is an exceptional & outstanding effort of the BJP lead Govt. for all around development of the rural area of this UT Islands. Since, the road connectivity is one of the main aspects of development, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray; MP has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Nitin Gadjkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways for sparing his valuable attention towards the A & N Islands.
