Port Blair, Oct 11: Ms. Neha Bansal, IAS, Secretary,Transport Department today visited STS workshop Lucknow and STS office Phokadera and enquired about the fire incident of college bus in which some college students have lost the certificates and then a meeting was held along with the DC North and Middle Andaman, AC Middle Andaman and AE STS unit Mayabunder at APWD guest house in which college students, PRI’s and general public also attended.
The Secretary patiently listened to grievance and has assured that five new buses will get into service for N&M Andaman within a period of one month.
She also directed the college students especially girl student to report any misbehavior by any staffs of state transport to her contact number immediately.
Correspondent Andaman Sheeka has raised long pending demand of opening a STS bus ticket counter at Mayabunder Bazar for which it was assured that the matter will be considered soon.
