Port Blair, Oct 06: In order to upgrade vocational skills of rural young women & men and to enable them to supplement their family income as well as enhancing their self esteem in the society the Nehru Yuva Kendra Rangat in collaboration with Voice of Compassion to India (NGO), Rangat organized three Skill up gradation Training Programmes for three months from 01/10/2017 to 31/12/2017 in the trade of Basic Computer fundamental course at Community Hall, Shivapuram, Tailoring & Garment making at Community Hall, Chainpur and Tailoring & Garment making at Andaman Karen craft house, Panighat.
The inauguration of the Tailoring & Garment making was held on 02/10/2017 and the centre was inaugurated by Smti Sarlawati, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Chainpur by lighting the lamp in presence of Mr.Devraj, Chairman, VCI, Rangat other PRI, members of the panchayat. As the chief guest the Pradhan appreciated the effort of NYK, Rangat and Voice of Compassion to India (NGO), Rangat.
The inauguration of the Basic Computer fundamental course was held on 03/10/2017 and the centre was inaugurated by Mr.Lawrentus Bara, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Shivapuram by lighting the lamp in presence of Mr.Devraj, Chairman, VCI, Rangat, A.T. Rao, ZillaParisad member and other PRI, members of the panchayat. As the chief guest the Pradhan appreciated the effort of NYK, Rangat and Voice of Compassion to India (NGO), Rangat.
In another inauguration of the Tailoring & Garment making which was held on 04/10/2017 and the centre was inaugurated by SmtiNawSeviah, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Rampur by lighting the lamp in presence of Mr.Devraj, Chairman, VCI, Rangat other PRI, members of the panchayat. As the chief guest the Pradhan appreciated the effort of NYK, Rangat and Voice of Compassion to India (NGO), Rangat.
Altogether 75 youths are participating in the above trainings from the adjoining villages and Mr.AlphonceToppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangatproposed vote of thanks in all the trainings programmes.
