Port Blair, Sep 26: As part of Swachhata Hi Sewa Abhiyan, Naval Component of the Andaman and Nicobar Command carried out removal of debris from construction sites within the Naval Units on 20 Sep 17. Approximately 350 personnel of the Command participated in the event. The area cleaning activity was under taken to achieve cleaner surroundings in these pristine islands. The personnel from the Naval Component and Air Station of the Command participated with full zeal and enthusiasm despite the inclement weather. Approximately03 tones and other garbage was cleared from the construction sites and the surrounding areas.
