Port Blair, September 25: A 42 year old man namely Santosh Narayan, a resident of Habidipur, Port Blair died of electrocution yesterday afternoon.
As per reports, the 42 year old man while climbing a Coconut Tree at Aniket Village mistakenly touched an electric line following which he died on the spot.
As per reports, the man was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. The dead body of the deceased was later handed over to his relatives.
However, the Ex-Upadhyaksh of South Andaman Zilla Parishad and also a resident of Habidipur, Mr Anand Amrit Raj demanded the Electricity Department to give compensation to the deceased as he alleged that on every Sunday, the Electricity Department rectifies the entire Electric Line of the area then how the deceased suffered an electric shock.
