Port Blair, Sep 24: The President Shri Girish Arora and all Executive Members of Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi to have a meeting with the Chamber on 21.9.2017 at 1600hrs. at Raj Niwas in response to the Chamber’s letter dated 18th August, 2017 submitting various issues pertaining to Diversion of land, Closure of ATR for Tourists, Mortgage permission of land, Apartment Act, Game Fishing Rules, GST, Passenger User Fees, Review of Master Plan,etc. Hon’ble Lt. Governor patiently heard all the points, understood the genuinity and desired to resolve most of the issues at the earliest. The Chamber earlier had a meeting with the Chief Secretary Shri Anindo Majumdar on 4.8.2017 at 1700 hrs. in response to the Chamber letter dated 2nd August, 2017 submitting issues being faced by these Islands and the business community in the way of development. The Chamber also express our thanks and gratitude to the Chief Secretary for patiently hearing the problems and resolving many of the issues.
The Chamber expects such quick response and intervention of the Administration in future also in resolving various problems which will give way to the development of these Islands.
