Port Blair, Sept 24: In pursuant to the persisting demand for grant of 1/30th Pay + DA to the DRMs and also to revision of minimum wages at par with the rates specified by the Govt. of India, the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, the Chief Secretary and the Secretary (Labour), A&N Administration has taken an incredible decisions in granting 1/30th Pay + DA to the DRMs engaged against the sanctioned posts w.e.f. 01.09.2017 and also for enhancement of minimum wages for Un-skilled from Rs.297- to Rs.437, Semi-skilled from Rs.309 to Rs.494/-, Skilled/Clerical from Rs.322 to Rs.579 and High skilled from Rs.343 to Rs.637 per day with variable DA as per All India Consumer Price Index which shall be revised every after six month.
Hence, the Member of Parliament has taken this opportunity for congratulating the Lt. Governor, Chief Secretary, and Secretary (Labour), A&N Administration for taking such outstanding welfare measures for providing monitory benefits to improve the financial conditions of DRMs.
