Port Blair, Sep 21: The Lt Governor, Prof Jagdish Mukhi in a simple function held at the conference hall of Raj Niwas, today released a booklet “Port Blair Municipal Council – the past one year” showcasing the achievements of the Council during the last one year. Shri Vishal Jolly, State BJP President, Chairperson PBMC, Shri B Eswar Rao, Municipal Councillors, officers and staff of the Council were present on the occasion.Port Blair, Sep 21: The Lt Governor, Prof Jagdish Mukhi in a simple function held at the conference hall of Raj Niwas, today released a booklet “Port Blair Municipal Council – the past one year” showcasing the achievements of the Council during the last one year. Shri Vishal Jolly, State BJP President, Chairperson PBMC, Shri B Eswar Rao, Municipal Councillors, officers and staff of the Council were present on the occasion. In his brief address, the Lt Governor congratulated the Chairperson and Municipal Councillors for providing the best possible civic services and other facilities to the citizens in the past one year. This booklet, which showcase the achievements of the Council in the past one year is testimony of the active and committed work of the Municipal members and staff, he added. The Lt Governor also assured full support of the Administration to the Council in serving the citizens and ensuring that the civic amenities reach to the citizens. He added that the Administration will provide equitable allocation of its resources for the development of each of the municipal wards. He further suggested the Council members, cutting across the party lines, to work together for the welfare of the citizens, so as to improve the socio-economic conditions of the citizens.
In his address, Shri Vishal Jolly also congratulated the Chairperson and the Council members for taking up various civic works for the welfare of the citizens. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the administration for their constant support to the Council.
