Port Blair, Sep 20: As part of ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ campaign, Naval Component and NSRY carried out tree plantation drive in residential areas from 1000 h to 1200 h on 19 Sep 17. Approximately 100 service personnel and residents wholeheartedly and enthusiastically participated in the drive. Close to 65 trees were planted at various locations during the plantation drive. A Drawing competition was organised for the Primary Students of Navy Children School on Swachhta Mission. The event was conducted in Navy Children School (Port Blair) on 18 Sep 17. Around 25 students participated in the event. Post completion of the Drawing Competition the students whole heartedly contributed towards a Cleanliness Drive. This included cleaning of the school premises and educating the students on the importance of Swachhta.
