Port Blair, Sept 03: Under the Block Level Sports Meet the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat in collaboration with Karen Youth Club, Webi organised Block Level Football Knockout Tournament on 2nd September,2017 at Netaji Mini Stadium, Mayabunder in which 08 teams from the area of Mayabunder, Billiground, Tugapur, Webi and Karmatang participated.
The Inaugural match was played between Nicobari Matric Club V/s Star Youth Club, Karmatang and on the occasion Fr. Sebastian, the Manager of St. Xaviour School, Mayabunder was the chief guest and he was introduced with the players.
The final match of the tournament was played between Karen Youth Club, Webi V/s Home Brother, Mayabunder and Home Brother won the match by 3-1 goals. The match was witnessed by large gathering. In the final match Mr. Saw Thatoo, Adhyaksha, North & Middle Andaman, Mayabunder was the chief guest and he distributed trophy to Runner and Winner Team as well as prizes to all the players. Finally, Mr. Saw Shisho, Sports Secretary of Karen Youth Club, Webi proposed vote of thanks.
