Port Blair, August 23: A team of Police personnel attached to PS Rangat on 22.08.2017 seized a baggage containing 230 packets of Bagbhan 69 prohibited chewing tobacco (Zarda) which was recovered at Kaushalya Nagar Bazaar area from K.Dhanasekar S/o Karuppaiah R/o Dairy Farm, Port Blair .
The contra banned articles were brought from Port Blair in a Maruti Omni Vehicle along with poultry birds for sale in North & Middle Andaman District. The matter was informed to the concerned Food Safety Officer who later seized the entire quantity of banned tobacco and initiated further legal proceedings against the offender as per Law.
