Diglipur, Aug 14: A two days training programme organized by Department of Agriculture, Diglipur under extension reform scheme at ATMA on Organic Farming conducted at Ghandhinagar village concluded
successfully on 14th August 2017. Earlier in the inaugural session Shri Vijay kumar, Assistant (Agri),
Diglipur welcomed the chief guest along with the participant and also highlighted the importance of Organic Farming. He further added that through organic farmers can ensure safe and healthy food to the people. He also elaborated on the Prime Minister Flagship programmes like PMFBY, PMKSY, DBT, PKVY, DBT, soli health card etc. In the technical session lectures were delivered on various topics
such as scope and importance of organic farming in A&N Island by Shri S. Prasanth, A.A, Diglipur Organic manure and bio fertilizers, its application and importance by Shri Dinesh Ch. Das, A.A, Diglipur and
organic cultivation of vegetables, fruits and spices by Smti. N. Sajida , AFA, Gandhinagar Farmers from Gandhinagar village attended the programme. All together 20 farmers attended the programme, Participants included both men and women farmers along with farmer friends attended the
training. Literatures on related topic were also distributed among the participants in all the villages. The training was successfully conducted with the involvement of concerned AFA, BTM and ATM’s
(ATMA)Diglipur.
