Havelock, August 08: Great effort of the Life Guards positioned at Radhanagar Beach, Havelock saved life of three Tourist of New Delhi yesterday afternoon. On 07 Aug 2017, three tourists from New Delhi while swimming near Radha Nagar Beach were carried away by the waves which was noticed by the Life Guards .Taking immediate action the Life guards named
Amal Mistry, Gautam Halder, Arindam Bagchi, Rakesh Biswas, Somar Sarkar, Subhankar Dhali Golak
showed exemplary dedication towards their duty and saves all the three drowning tourists under the Supervision of Beach Officer, Madhavan.
Due to the quick action by the Life Guards Two of them were recovered immediately. However, the third tourist namely Mr. Neeraj s/o Vipin Chandra was rescued in critical condition and was admitted to Primary Health Centre, Havelock. Seeing the condition of the patient, CMO advised to shift him to GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair.
Good Coordinated efforts have been witnessed between Director, IP&T and Coast Guard because of which the injured tourist Mr. Neeraj who was rescued in critical condition was shifted successfully to GB Pant Hospital Port Blair well in time.
