Port Blair, Aug 03: In continuation to this office earlier press note dated 20.7.2017, it is further to bring to knowledge of electricity consumer and general public that due to strike of employees of M/s. Suryacharka Power Plant, Bambooflat, the ongoing load shedding will be continued in Port Blair and South Andaman area during evening peak hours from 5.30 PM to 11.30 PM for 01 Hour on every day as per the following revised schedule. This schedule will be affected from 04.8.2017 onwards till next fortnight.
The evening hours load schedule is tentative and may vary in view of public meetings, important social functions or other emergency and technical reasons. According to Electricity department the schedule will be from 05.30 PM to 06.30 PM there will be no power at Part of Garacharama, Dollygunj, Attompahar, Old Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, part of Minnie Bay, Garacharama Sub Station area, Japan Nallah, Austinabad, Prothrapur, Carbyn’s Cove, Brichgunj, Brookshabad, part of Chakkargoan, Chatham Mill, Chatham Wharf, IOC, MES Power House, Dairy Farm Junction, CPWD Complex,Lamba Line, Ranchi Tekery, School Line complete, part of Minnie Bay, BSNL Telephone Exchange, Prem Nagar, Goalghar, Carmel School area, KV-I area &Murdakhari area.
From 06.30 PM to 07.30 PM there is we no power at Mohanpura, Babu Lane, Aberdeen Bazaar from Ratnam Market to Taxi Stand, Aberdeen Thana, part of Gurudwara Lane, Bengali Club, Biggi Lane, Anthropological Museum, Middle Point, Link Road, VIP Road, Police Line, part of Junglighat, BhatuBasti complete, Laxmi Motor Area, Pathergudda, Satellite Colony, New Pahargaon, Shadipur, South Point, MazaarPahad, Machi Line, RGT Road, Govt. Press, JNRM College and Bambooflat.
From 07.30 PM to 08.30 PM there will be no power in Rajasthan Mandir, ALWH Colony, Hawaghar Junction, Dudh Line, Nayagaon, Bargat Line, GPRA Colony,Carbyn’s Junction, Sippighat, Teylarabad, Bimblitan, Manjeri, Guptapara, Manglutan, Wandoor, ChouldariTushnabad, Port Mount, Tirur, Templemyo,Ograbranj, part of Dollygunj, part of Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, part of School Line and Water Treatment Plant Lamba Lane area, Haddo, Haddo Warf, Foreshore Road and upto Civil Aviation Delanipur, VidhyutBhawan, Electricity HQ Office, PBMC Auditorium, APWD CE Office, Secretariat, Court Complex, PAO, Raj Niwas& Gandhi Park area.
From 08.30 PM to 09.30 PM there will be no power at Shristy Nagar, Atlanta Point, Cellular Jail, G.B.PantHospital, Police HQ, Marina Park, Aberdeen Bazaar site office area, Marine Hill, Dugnabad complete, Round Basti,Netaji Club area, STS Workshop, BSNL Bhawan, Model School Area, Fire Brigade, ANIIDCO Bhawan area, Girls School, CCS Aberdeen Bazaar area, Supply Line complete, Netaji Stadium area, Electricity Bazaar site office, Jama Masjid, Netaji Club, part of Gurudwara Lane, Agency House, Garacharama complete, 5 MW Solar Power Plant area, part of Sippighat, ChouldariLalPahar, Tsunami Shelter, Mithakhari, Namunaghar, Dunduspoint & HathiTappu.
From 09.30PM to 10.30 PM there will be no power in CARI, AKT Miniplex, Bird Line, Calicut, Kamaraj Nagar, Beodnabad, Rangachang, Burmanallah,Chidiyatapu, Light House, Phoenix Bay, Fisheries Jetty area, Anarkali, Delanipur, Quarry Hill, PhongyKyaung, Foreshore Road, Megapode, Teal House &Horticulture Road and from 10.30PM to 11.30 PM there will be no power at Part of Junglighat, Vijay Baugh, Dairy Farm complete, Buniyadabad, AIR, DDK Colony, part of Delanipur, part of Prem Nagar, Coast Guard Enclave, Coast Guard HQ, Coast Guard Jetty, Panipath Road, Fortress Head Quarter, Mathura, Bridavan, Ferargunj to Jirkatang, StewartGunj, Kanyapuram, Wimberlygunjupto Shoal Bay.
In addition to evening hours, load shedding will also be carried out during day hours on as and when required basis for 45 minutes to 60 minutes in order to carry out routine and breakdown maintenance of DG sets at the Power Plants & T&D systems. The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted and the consumers are requested to bear with the situation.
