Port Blair, Aug 01: A one day volleyball tournament for men’s was conducted with the association of HOD’s, contractors and shopkeepers in the far flung Island of Teressa on Dt. 31/07/2017 at Police Ground. Ten team participated in the tournament among them Bengali village won the trophy while Chukmachi village secured runner of trophy.
A large number of spectators witnessed the event. It was noticed in the recent days A & N Police Department was playing a key role to develop friendly and cordial relation with tribal community especially in Nicobar District to ensure better policing under the head of Community Policing. This time the same was done with the cooperation of all stakeholder of Teressa Island.
