Port Blair, July 31: Tree plantation and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was undertaken at “Shaheed Capt Ashim Bhattacharya Park Junglighat” by 110 NCC cadets of the Army,Navy and Airforce on 31st July .The Commanding Officers of both the Army and Naval NCC units alongwith the PI staff also participated in the events. The cadets planted a large number of medicinal and ornamental plants which were made available by the Forest department. The cadets alongwith the locals present were apprised about the harmful effect of plastic to our environment. All the cadets were given refreshments after the completion of the events.
