Port Blair, July 30: A Rural Health Care Camp was organized by “voice of Compassion to India” (VCI-Ngo) on 28.07.2017 at Uttara Gram Panchayat. Dr. Monika Priyadarshni, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman inaugurated the Camp and advised the Ggathering how to change their life style and maintain their Blood sugar within normal limits. The mass counseling regarding diabetes and hypertension has proved to the beneficial indeed a boon to the assemblage since many of their misconceptions were dispelled through the deliberations. Chairperson of VCI- NGO welcomed the gathering and gave awareness about the program and its importance.
About 32 persons came forward to check their Blood sugar level, their Blood pressure, Weight, Body Fat, Visceral Fat, Body Age, BMI, Resting Metabolism, Liver Function Test, Lipid Profile and Kidney Function Test were also assessed of the problem within them. The camp was an eye
opener since many news cases were directed through the rand survey. All the new detected cases were directed to attend Primary Health Center, Kadamtala for further treatment
The Camp ended at 2:00 PM with vote of thanks which was proposed by Secretary Shri. M. V. Shervin of the VCI-NGO.
