Port Blair, July 30: False alarm at Co-Operative Bank Shadipur, triggered panic yesterday evening and a large number of residents gathered in front of the bank to know the reason behind the alarm.
It is learnt that the fire alarm rang at around 07:30pm, which continued till 07 minutes following which the nearby shopkeepers immediately informed the Aberdeen Police Station.
Later a team of police reached the spot, the alarm was found to be a false one, as after thorough check police team found that the alarm started ringing due to technical snags.
