Port Blair, July 28: A delegation of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands led by its General Secretary, T. S. Sreekumar met Shri Ramesh Verma, Secretary(Agriculture) today and held discussion on various pending issues of employees of Agriculture Department.
The issues brought before the Secretary(Agri) were (i) Filling up of vacant posts especially promotional posts immediately (ii)Implementation of up-graded grade pay to Junior Agriculture Assistant and Junior Soil Conservation Assistants (iii)Timely award of MACP etc.
The Secretary(Agriculture) assured the delegation that the issues raised by the Association will be settled in a time bound manner. The office bearers of the Agriculture Sub-Committee of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Shri Sreedam Biswas, Shri Daniel Antony and Shri Shanmugam also accompanied the General Secretary during the discussion.
