Port Blair, July 14: An awareness programme on the provision of “POCSO Act-2012”, Cyber Crime and ATM Fraud was conducted for the students and teachers of Govt. Senior Secondary School Diglipur on July 10, 2017. The programme was organized by the District Police of North & Middle Andaman, under the guidance of Shri. Sukant S. Ballabh, SDPO Diglipur and overall supervision of Shri. Ingit Pratap Singh, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District. SI Jishi George of PS Diglipur sensitized the students and teachers about various types of offences covered under POCSO Act, the reporting of such cases, do’s and don’ts etc. through power point presentation. The children were explained about POCSO Act and the various types of offences covered under the Act. The students and teachers were also sensitized about various techniques adopted by ATM Fraud callers and were advised not to response to such calls.
About 150 students and teachers attended the awareness programme.
