Port Blair, July 09: On 04/07/17 a credible information was received at PS Havelock that one lady was selling illicit Ganja in her house. Upon this a raiding team was constituted consisting of PC/1642 Rakesh Narayan, PC/430 Mani Kandan, LPC/2999 Molina, PC(D)/3062 Pankaj Rao & PC(D)/3035 Vallapa Rao under the supervision of Dy.SP ( Havelock) & SHO Havelock. The team immediately swung into action and raided the house of one Smti. Manamothi Arindha. The raiding team recovered illicit Ganja weighing 95 Grams which was seized under the cover of seizure memo. On enquiry the lady disclosed her name as Manamothi Arindha (70) years R/o. Govind Nagar-3. The accused lady was booked u/s 20 (b) (ii) A of NDPS Act 1985.
Again on 04/07/17, SI Adi Murthy PS Havelock alongwith Police party consisting of PC/430 Mani Kandan & PC/2575 Ranjit Biswas while on excise duty at Govind Nagar-3, Havelock near fish market apprehended a person namely Shri Judan Arindha (57) yrs fisherman R/o. Govind Nagar – 3, Havelock who was in possession of 01 No. Plastic jerican containing 15 liters of illicit Handia. The accused person was booked u/s 32 Reg.III of 1876.
The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of SI K. Ilangovan, SHO PS Havelock under the overall supervision of SDPO ( Havelock).
