Port Blair, July 05: The Tylerabad Police Unit yesterday seized freshly Killed Sea Turtle weighing around 2.1 kilogram from accused Narayan Roy and Surajit Das at Garachama Village.
On a tip off, the Station House Officer, Tylerabad Police Station, Inspector Sahil Shamsuddin along with Sub-Inspector Jeevan under the overall supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police MA Nausad conducted a search of the accused persons following which the Police Unit recovered the freshly Killed Sea Turtle.
As per reports, Narayan Roy is also involved in more than 5 criminal cases and cases against him are already registered in the Ograbraj Police Station and Humphrygunj Police Station.
The accused and the seized property were later handed over to the Ranger (Wildlife) for further action. Further details are awaited.
