Port Blair, Jul 04: On 28/06/17 FIR No. 60/17 u/s 454/380 IPC was lodged at PS Chatham regarding burglary of Jewellery and cash at Haddo village, Port Blair. On 01/07/17, information was received at Police Control Room about movement of a suspect at Chidiyatapu village. Teams of Police personnel from PS Pahargaon and PS Chatham led by Inspr. The suspect was immediately apprehended and Gold Ornaments, Silver ornaments alongwith Cash was recovered from the possession of accused who was identified as a Juvenile in conflict with Law. The burglary case was solved as a result of the joint efforts of staff of PCR, PS Chatham and PS Pahargaon under the supervision of Shri. MA Naushad, DySP (SA) alongwith the local population of Chidiyatapu. The South Andaman Police requests the public to assist police in passing information about anti-social elements on 100 (PCR) or respective Police Station on 03192-232400 (PS Aberdeen), 03192-250525 (PS Pahargaon), and 03192-232232 (PS Chatham).
