Little Andaman, June 27: A 44 year old man Bhabatosh Raptan S/o Late Dilip Raptan a resident of V K Pur, Ward Number 2, Little Andaman was arrested yesterday after a molestation case was registered against him yesterday evening.
As per reports, the victim nine year old girl was the neighbour of the accused and taking advantage of which the accused used to molest the girl on regular basis.
Sources said that immediately after the case was registered the Hutbay Police Unit took the girl as well as the accused for a medical test.
It is learnt that after the medical test the Hutbay Police Unit also registered a Rape case under section 376 IPC against the accused for raping the minor girl. The accused will be produced in front of the Court tomorrow. Further details are awaited.
