On 17.04.17, on the complaint of Shri K. Srinivas Rao, In-Charge ANIIDCO, Wine Shop, Mohanpura, a case vide Crime No. 172/2017 dtd.17-04-2017 U/s 457/380 IPC was registered at PS Aberdeen against unknown person. The complainant stated that on 16-04-2017 at 2000 hrs he closed the wine shop in proper manner and went home. On 17-04-2017 when he came and opened the shop, he noticed that a portion of the shop’s wall was broken and some of the IMFL cartoons were stolen. On this he informed the matter to ANIIDCO and police, who immediately rushed to the spot and enquired thoroughly. They checked the stock and found that around 950 IMFL bottles were stolen by some unknown person in the intervening night by breaking the wall of the wine shop.
Upon this, the special team of PS Aberdeen consisting of SI M.V. Shiju Kumar, HC Vijay Shankar, HC V. Hentho, PC Abdul Rasheed, PC Ashok Kumar and PC Suresh under Insp. A. K. Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen under the supervision of Dy.SP/SA Nishant Gupta put tremendous efforts by deploying their sources and technical surveillance to unearth the theft and ensured checking at JPP Jirkatangand in North & Middle Andaman.
The special team of PS Aberdeen was closely monitoring the movements of one suspect namely Maisaiah (36) Years R/o Sisty Nagar for many days and intercepted him who accepted his guilt during interrogation and revealed that on the intervening night of 16th and 17th April 2017, he broke the side wall of ANIIDCO wine Shop, Mohanpura and went away with the huge stolen IMFL. He also accepted that on 24th June he again went to the same shop with the intention of burglary but had to run away due to sighting by the neighbour. The Excise team of PS Aberdeen has recovered 50 Nos. bottles of IMFL from his possession, along with the instruments used for the burglary.
This burglary was unsolved for last 2 months and being monitored by Shri. Atul Kumar Thakur, SP(D) South Andaman. The South Andaman Police has worked extremely hard in cracking this case by deploying tremendous efforts.
