Port Blair, June 27: “Jamaat–e-islami Hind (JIH) Andaman Zone organized an Eid Milan Programme on the eve of Eid-ul-fitr this Monday at RUAC function hall at Bambooflat, which was attended by a large number of non-Muslim brothers alongwith the members of Jamaate-e-islami hind. Women’s also actively took part in this programme.
The programme started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Br. Shafique which was followed by a speech on the topic “The message of Eid-ul-Fitr by Jb. M K Mohammed, President JIH, Andaman Zone. Shri Vishal Jolly, state President BJP was the guest of honour. Shri. Dilip, A.E. Electricity FerrarGunj and Shri. JatanLalThak, eminent personality of the village also presented their views on the occasion with many other dignitaries.
They expressed their views on unity in diversity of the island and the importance of preserving it. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Br. K P Mohammed Younus, Vice President JIH, which was followed by a feast.”
