Port Blair, June 19: One man suffered minor injuries in a road accident, occurred opposite to Siksha Sadan, Port Blair at 12 noon today.
According to eye witnesses, a garbage collecting truck of PBMC (AN-01, B 6225), was going towards secretariat from Goal Ghar, but suddenly it started to roll backward, very dangerously. According to report, one person, sitting next to the driver had suffered sudden fit attack and out of panic the driver lost control over the truck, which led to this accident.
Luckily the out of control truck stopped after hitting an electric pole or else the Accident could have been worse.
The truck smashed and crushed a bike TVS Sport (AN-01, G 2310) parked on the side of the road.
“I was inside the Siksha Sadan office for some work. After hearing some noise I rushed outside and I found my bike crushed under the truck,” Mr Ratan Biswas the owner of the damaged bike told Andaman Sheekha.
