Port Blair, June 19: A public meeting was held at Havelock on 17th June, 2012 in the evening, which was attended by the State President of BJP Mr. R Mohan, the State Vice President Vishal Jolly and other senior leaders. In the meeting Mr. Vishal Jolly objected as to how the Pradhan of Gram Panchayat, Havelock Mr. Ranjan Samaddar has not yet been arrested against whom FIR has been lodged in the Police Station as he had issued false NOC for electric connection in respect of a dead person. Vishal has also criticized the Administration as to how the said Pradhan had built his dwelling house on the main junction of Havelock acquiring about half of the main road for this purpose.
Vishal demanded that the AN Administration should be free and fair for the society and suspend the Pradhan immediately. Vishal has also demanded that opening of the English medium school, filling up the vacant posts in the school of Havelock and developing the tourism sector here, for which the Party has already placed their demands a long back.
Mohan briefed the public that all the issues of public interests and welfare are being placed only by the BJP before the heavy weight officials of the AN Administration and when those issues are materialized, the Particular Political Party is getting the news before hand from the Administration and issues a press note requesting the Administrator or other concerned officials for the said issues just before a day or two of issuance of the orders from the Administration and thus befooling the innocent public.
He has also critisized the particular political Party for not having any issues of public interests or welfare and thus is copying the demands already made by the BJP and placing it before the AN Administration.Dr Jijith Rekh, Prabhari of City told that in mainland the common people want to get rid of Congress lead UPA Government and here the islanders want to get rid of this particular Party and also the Administrator.
